Drachenfels von Laura

Drachenfels by Laura

Laura’s shawl is simply beautiful!
I love how the colors play together and how the texture comes alive. It's both playful and super stylish – just the way a truly special knit should. So lovely to see how much care went into every detail! ✨

I love huge, dramatic shawls. Since I chose to use fingering instead of the sport called for in the pattern, I was concerned that it wouldn’t be as big as I wanted. I shouldn’t have worried. ;-)

I used size 6’s, and added extra pattern repeats in the first section of the shawl. It’s extra large and drapey, and I love it!

This was a relaxing knit -- just the type of thing when you don’t want to have to think too much, but still want to be engaged by color changes. Very enjoyable!

I don’t usually use three bright colors together in the same shawl, but this combo just spoke to me, and it turns out that it was the perfect match for the Out and About dress that I was planning to make. It all came together beautifully.
