Rainshadow von Judith

Rainshadow by Judith

Take a look at Judith’s gorgeous Rainshadow shawl 🌧️ – a little challenging at first, but such a joy to knit when you want to be completely in the moment. She bravely worked her way through those tricky stitches (with a great tip from Åsa Tricosa!) and ended up with something truly special – it turned out so beautifully! 💙

A beautiful pattern. Challenging at the beginning, but a joy to knit if you need to clear your head (because you really have to focus on knitting!)

This pattern uses two variations of ‘purl together through the back loop’. That’s quite a challenging stitch and if I hadn’t found a workaround for it, I would probably have given up. You’ll find the workaround described (with photos) in this blog post: https://asatricosa.com/p2togtbl/

I’ve found the bind off to be a little fiddly… then I replaced the right needle by a crochet hook (same size as knitting needles) and that worked really good!
