ITO Kosho, soft, airy and full of possibilities
ITO Kosho is a wonderfully soft yet structured yarn with fantastic stitch definition. The blend of 90% mulesing-free merino wool from Uruguay and 10% cashmere makes it comfortably luxurious, while its special construction provides lightness and volume.
Kosho is spun in Japan using the traditional woolen-spun process on a mule spinning frame. This traps a lot of air inside the thread, giving it a light and fluffy character. At the same time, it yields a clear stitch pattern that brings out even simple textured motifs beautifully.
With its fine weight, Kosho is a true multi-talent. It is wonderfully suited for lightweight sweaters and cardigans, shawls and scarves, as well as exceptionally soft baby and children's clothing.
It becomes especially exciting when you hold Kosho double. Combine two different colors together to create a gorgeous marled melange effect without any complicated techniques. Naturally, you can also hold Kosho together with other ITO yarns to create your very own color and fiber combinations.
The color palette ranges from natural melange tones to vibrant colors, offering plenty of space for your own creative ideas.
Need a bit more volume? Then ITO So Kosho is the perfect choice. It is based on the exact same base yarn, but is twice as thick, offering approximately 175 m per 50 g.
I recommend gentle hand washing.
