ITO Sensai, Mohair with a Touch of Silk

Light as a cloud, soft, and with a beautiful, subtle sheen, ITO Sensai is one of those yarns that instantly makes a knitted piece feel a little more special. The fine mohair is blended with 40% silk, combining the airy lightness of mohair with the luxurious softness and delicate shine of silk.

Sensai is perfect for light and elegant knits. I especially love it for lace patterns, delicate shawls and scarves, but it also works beautifully for sweaters, cardigans, and tops. Knitted with multiple strands, it creates a wonderfully light and fluffy fabric that keeps you warm without ever feeling heavy.

And then there are the colours! With 56 shades to choose from, the possibilities are almost endless. From delicate pastels to bold, vibrant colours, there’s something for every project. Knit Sensai on its own, or combine it with other ITO yarns to play with colour, texture, and fibre.

Sensai is also a wonderful companion yarn. Held together with another yarn, it adds a soft, fluffy halo and a touch of luxury without overwhelming the stitch definition of your main yarn.
