ITO Shio, Delicate, Soft, and Incredibly Versatile

ITO Shio is a yarn for those quiet, delicate moments. This exceptionally fine merino yarn feels incredibly soft and brings a beautiful lightness to your knitting projects.

Shio is wonderfully versatile: held together with another ITO yarn, it adds extra softness while subtly changing the look and feel of the knitted fabric. Knitted with multiple strands, it becomes a beautifully delicate yarn for lightweight sweaters, cardigans, scarves, and other garments you can wear all year round.

And then there’s the color! With more than 30 shades to choose from, you can really have fun with it. Shio combines beautifully with other ITO yarns, opening up endless possibilities for soft color transitions, striking contrasts, and truly personal favorites.

I recommend gentle hand washing.

My patterns and kits always specify which yarn works best for the design. And if you’re unsure, I’m happy to help! I want you to enjoy your knitting project from the very first stitch to the very last.

Can I buy the yarns separately?

Of course! Some of the yarns are available individually in my shop, so you can create your project exactly the way you envision it.
