ITO So Kosho is one of those yarns that makes you want to start knitting the moment you touch it. It’s soft yet pleasantly substantial, wonderfully voluminous, and creates surprisingly clear, beautifully defined stitches.

The secret lies in its special construction: So Kosho is spun in Japan using a traditional woollen spinning technique on a carriage spinning machine. The blend of 90% mulesing-free merino wool from Uruguay and 10% cashmere gives it an exceptionally soft and luxurious feel, while its airy construction keeps the yarn pleasantly lightweight.

So Kosho is wonderfully versatile. Whether you’re making a cozy hat, a voluminous scarf, a sweater, or a cardigan, this yarn lends itself to all kinds of projects. And of course, it’s also fun to combine So Kosho with other ITO yarns and play with different colors and textures.

The color palette ranges from natural melange shades to vibrant colors, making it perfect for both calm, timeless projects and real statement pieces.

Looking for the same beautiful fiber blend in a finer weight? Take a look at ITO Kosho, too. It’s made from the same base yarn, but at 175 m per 25 g, it’s considerably finer.

I recommend gentle hand washing.
