So Yuki, Airy Merino Wool with Japanese Character

So Yuki is a beautifully lightweight DK yarn made from 100% fine, mulesing-free merino wool from Uruguay. The wool is spun in Japan using a traditional woollen spinning technique. This special spinning method gives So Yuki its airy character, making the yarn wonderfully soft, lightweight, and comfortable against the skin.

With a fiber diameter of 19.6 microns, the merino wool provides cozy warmth without feeling heavy. The air trapped in the yarn creates volume, while the stitch definition remains beautifully clear and even. The yarn is made by twisting three strands together, giving it additional substance and helping your knitted pieces hold their shape beautifully.

I especially love So Yuki for anything worn directly against the skin: cozy sweaters, scarves, and hats, as well as beautiful garments for children and babies. The finished fabric feels wonderfully soft and gentle, while also having a light, flowing drape.

The color palette fits beautifully into the ITO world, too. You can combine So Yuki with other ITO yarns, such as ITO Sensai, to create beautiful and unexpected combinations of color and texture.

A yarn that brings warmth and lightness together beautifully, while being so easy and enjoyable to knit that you’ll probably want to cast on your next project right away.

I recommend gentle hand washing.
