Maximo, Mon Amour! This yarn is simply irresistible – thick, fluffy, cozy-soft, and also machine washable and organic! What's not to love?

Maximo is a “Chunky” weight, offering wonderfully thick Merino wool that just begs to be knit. Sometimes, nothing beats a quick-knit project, especially when you’re excited to slip into the cozy result! That’s exactly why I chose Maximo: a beautiful Merino yarn that’s not only soft and durable but also perfect for beginners eager to see quick progress.

Merino wool is one of the finest and most comfortable fibers to wear – soft, breathable, and resilient thanks to its natural elasticity. It’s ideal for anyone with sensitive skin since it doesn’t itch at all. Plus, Merino keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, absorbs moisture, and has a natural resistance to odors.

The Merino wool for Maximo is sourced from Argentina and is GOTS-certified, meaning that animal welfare, as well as safe and fair working conditions, are prioritized. And because Pascuali values quality and sustainability, there is no child labor, excessive work hours, or harmful chemicals involved in production. These standards are regularly checked throughout the production chain.

What else makes Maximo special? Through a gentle Lanazym treatment, the wool remains resistant to felting and pilling while preserving its natural qualities. For care, it’s often enough to simply air out your knits. If washing is needed, just use the wool cycle at a low temperature – no shrinking, no wrinkling!

And then there’s the variety – 31 colors just waiting to be mixed and matched! I knitted my Pandou Cardigan in Maximo, and it turned out to be a real showstopper. So pick your favorite colors, grab your needles, and get started!
