Luxury You Can Feel: Saffira

The name alone sounds like a little treasure—and that’s exactly how this yarn feels. Inspired by the deep sheen of a sapphire, Saffira is for me a true jewel among luxury yarns—which is why I wanted it in my shop.

Saffira is an elegant blend of fine merino and lustrous mulberry silk. The merino provides breathability, natural thermal regulation and an incredibly soft next-to-skin feel. Best of all: the merino is mulesing-free, a sourcing standard that matters to me.

Mulberry silk gives Saffira its unmistakable sheen and that silky-smooth touch that feels heavenly against the skin. It makes the yarn both strong and supple, with a beautiful drape that elevates any knitted or crocheted piece.

What I love most are the colours: the silk’s special lustre makes them glow—20 gorgeous shades that bring every project to life.

Saffira is perfect for all seasons—it warms when it’s cool and cools when it’s warm. It’s also easy to care for, hypoallergenic and fully biodegradable—a true natural fibre you can wear with a clear conscience.

To add a whisper of halo and a delicate colour depth, pair Saffira with Pascuali Manada, a special blend of mohair, mulberry silk, yak and merino. Whether you choose matching or contrasting shades, the combination gives your project extra softness, warmth and a uniquely beautiful finish.

I carefully choose every yarn so it perfectly suits my designs and feels wonderful to knit. Quality always comes before quantity – so you can be sure every fiber is just right.

Absolutely! Sustainability is really important to me. I only work with producers who care about fair working conditions and eco-friendly materials, so you can knit with a good conscience.

How do I find the right yarn for my project?
All my patterns and kits clearly state which yarn works best. And if you’re unsure, I’m always happy to give advice – I want you to enjoy your project from start to finish.

Can I buy the yarn separately?
Of course! Some of the yarns are available in the shop so you can create your project exactly the way you imagine it.
