Pascuali Alpaca Lace | 100% Baby Alpaca Wool

Pascuali Alpaca Lace is one of my absolute favorite yarns: luxuriously soft, delicate, and at the same time surprisingly sturdy. In the fine lace weight, it’s incredibly light – just perfect for all those intricate lace and openwork patterns.

Alpaca Lace is made from 100% baby alpaca and is RAS-certified – a true mark of quality. The exceptionally fine fibers come from the first shearing of young animals in the Peruvian highlands and are spun locally. The result is a yarn that feels wonderfully gentle on the skin, with a subtle halo, yet does not shed.

The yarn is plied in two strands and comes in beautiful natural shades, along with a carefully curated color palette that makes any knitting project shine. I find it ideal for lightweight tops with delicate lace patterns, as well as scarves, shawls, or even soft baby clothing. Its excellent thermal-regulating properties make it especially comfortable on the skin – even for sensitive wearers or those with wool allergies, as alpaca contains very little lanolin.

My tip: It’s best to order enough yarn for your project from the start. This ensures that all pieces come from the same dye lot. I also recommend knitting a swatch as soon as you receive the yarn – that way, you can check if the quantity is sufficient and order more if needed.
