Pascuali Balayage hand-dyed | Baby Alpaca Wool & Merino Wool

Developing Balayage was an exciting and creative journey that I was fortunate to experience with my friends at Pascuali. As a designer, it was important to me to create a yarn that was not only visually appealing but also offered a unique knitting experience, and we absolutely succeeded.
One of the most fascinating features of Balayage is the unique heathered base tone. This is created by blending 80% white and gray baby alpaca with 20% white organic Merino wool. This results in a subtle gradient within the individual strands, which creates beautifully natural accents during the dyeing process—similar to the look of hand-dyed yarn. This allowed us to develop a harmonious color concept with almost endless combination possibilities.
Balayage is perfect for shawls and scarves but also ideal for sweaters, cardigans, and colorful patterns like Fair Isle. The versatility of this yarn captured my imagination from the start!
The blend of delicate baby alpaca and fine Merino wool makes Balayage incredibly soft and gentle on the skin—perfect for those with sensitive skin. Its softness makes it ideal for garments worn next to the skin, whether for babies, children, or your own cozy pieces.
Important Notes: Be sure to order enough yarn for your desired project to ensure you are knitting from the same dye lot. If in doubt, please swatch immediately after receiving the yarn. This will help you assess whether you have ordered the right amount and allow you to reorder if necessary.
