Tibetan Wool from Pascuali
What makes a yarn irresistible? I think it often starts with the allure of a specific color. But that's only half the story – how the yarn feels is just as important. And of course, I want you to know where and how the yarn is produced.
At Mairlynd, I ensure that my supply chain is sustainable and meets social, ecological, and ethical standards. From the farm to the finished yarn, I prioritize environmental protection, animal welfare, and fair working conditions.
Tibetan is a luxurious blend of ultrafine Merino wool and Yak wool. The Merino wool is sourced from mulesing-free farms in Argentina (Patagonia) and has a fiber fineness of 17.5 microns. It is GOTS certified, which means that the animal husbandry adheres to ecological standards and no harmful chemicals are used in the production of the yarn. The noble portion of Yak wool comes from Mongolia and has a fineness of about 16 microns.
The result? An irresistibly light, super soft, and breathable yarn that feels wonderful against the skin. I love this yarn so much that I designed the Cold Sunlight Pullover with it!
Tibetan features an irresistible color palette! The 38 refined shades will delight you! Hardly any other yarn in my shop offers such a fantastic range of hues.
Tibetan invites you to explore many creative projects, whether clothing or accessories. It's perfect for everything from cozy hats and gloves to scarves and tops like ponchos, cardigans, and sweaters.
With its many colors and the gentle shimmer of the yarn, the possibilities are nearly endless – let your creativity run wild!
Notes: Remember to order enough yarn for your project to ensure you can knit everything from the same dye lot. And if you're unsure, simply make a swatch as soon as you receive the yarn to check the amount you need and reorder if necessary.
